The Boards is an Invite only, Private Message Board, hosted on DISCORD.
About Discord, The Boards, Pros & Cons – Emojis
Discord is a free communications app that lets you share voice, video, and text chat with friends, game communities, and developers.
Discord is available for use on both Computers and Mobiles.
On computers, access to Discord is via your browser. Mobiles have a program, available via your app store.
Discord is divided into servers or many smaller communities. Servers can either be community (public) or private spaces.
Discord has Channels (or boards) in which members can create Threads. Channels can be either; TEXT CHAT, VOICE, or VIDEO.
As usual, within a Thread you can make posts. Posts can included links and images.
Initially only the TEXT CHAT Channel will be enabled on The Boards.
For those that join Discord, a single free user can join up to 100 servers, while a paid subscriber can join 200.
Discord lets you customize server notifications, and give yourself a different nickname for each server you join.
The Boards is a private Message Board, where membership is currently by invite only – compared to a community (public) server where anyone can view and request to become a member.
NOTE: Being a private server, only members can access the server, create threads, view and post.
Discord has Channels on which members can create Threads / Posts. Think of Channels as Boards.
Discord Channels can be either; TEXT CHAT, VOICE, or VIDEO.
Initially only the TEXT CHAT Channel will be enabled on The Boards.
Within Channels (Boards) members can create Threads. As usual, within a Thread you can make posts.

Joining Discord and being a member of The Boards is FREE, unless you wish to purchase Nitro – for any extras.
The Boards is Responsive: Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Mobile. Note there are different Discord Apps for Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS.
Change your Username (profile name) twice per week. Imagine the confusion 😀. Refer to the Username & Display Name tabs on the Joining The Boards Process page for details.
You can Edit your posts.
There will be a Politics Board 😀.
There will be a board for members to discuss suggestions regarding future enhancements of The Boards.
Threads have no post limit (that I know of). However, threads disappear after a week after the last post.
Auto moderation feature – courtesy of the Wick Bot (as in John) 😀.
Having multiple accounts is prohibited on The Boards – attempting to do so will result in a Ban or Permaban.
Members can request features, or new boards.
The Boards will be community driven – within reason.

Members have to join Discord.
You can have as many Discord accounts as you want with each one having a different email.
But be careful what you use each one for. If Discord sees you are using your account in odd ways like signing in and out too many times it will ask for a phone number to continue using that account.
Having multiple accounts is prohibited on The Boards.
There is no mute function – that I know of.
Threads disappear after a certain period of non use. Currently, this is set as at one week after the last post. This makes it very difficult to have FAQ pages.
The above is why these web pages have been created – it is extremely difficult in Discord to have Rules and Guidelines that do not disappear. However, there is an enhancement that will allow this – hopefully soon.

A large range of emojis are available at any time, by pressing Shift + ; keys, during a post. (This may be dependant on your Operating System.)
CUSTOM EMOJIS
A Discord Server allows up to 50 slots for custom emojis. These are available for all members to use. Members can suggest new custom emojis, as long as the available emoji slots remain at 50.
Those members who upgrade to Discord NITRO can upload and use animated GIF emojis.
