The Boards
The Boards is an Invite only, Private Message Board, hosted on DISCORD.
SOME IDEAS FOR CREATING A VIBRANT ONLINE COMMUNITY
Community development is a result of members and their content, not Admin, Discord, or anything else.
Community Ideas
Members are welcome to create Threads, sharing any creations or interests – with feedback, discussions from other interested members.
Examples are; crafts, paintings, art work, book reviews, photos, meals, recipes, etc.
Members who create Threads, or participate and contribute in specific threads / boards on a regular basis, will be offered Roles * that include permissions other members don’t have. It is not a moderators role. This feature excludes the Open Board.
Members in this Role, will have their username in a different colour and it prioritizes their names on the member list, ultimately highlighting them above other members.
* I will explain another time – what Roles mean in regard to Discord.
After an initial short settling period, members can request and discuss the merits of new channels (boards) and site features.
There will be a specific Board for this.
SUGGESTION: How about an Events Board ?
Suggest having an Event. Make it either open, or invite. Then have a private discussion without any outside interference.
A Tech Board will be available for members to request assistance on any technical matter, including how to use the Discord Interface for The Boards.
