The Boards is an Invite only, Private Message Board, hosted on DISCORD.
Joining The Boards Process

Request and INVITE LINK via the REQUEST AN INVITE LINK button below.
1. Enter your current Profile Name.
2. Enter the Captcha – simple maths calculation.
NOTE: Your current IP Address is also recorded and sent – to reduce spam and abuse.
To reduce Admin workload – each person will only have one chance at using the Request an Invite option to become a member. Choose wisely.
YOUR ID DETAILS
NOTE: During the entire joining process of both Discord and The Boards – NO personal identification details are provided to The Boards Admin.
The only information The Boards Admin will have, is your previous and current Profile Name, IP Address, Operating System, Web Browser.
NOTE 1 – During the initial stages, there will be some minor disruptions du to fine tuning of the numerous settings to suit our needs/expectations.
NOTE 2 – There are those who will never be allowed to join The Boards (for obvious reasons).
Soon after submitting the Contact Form, those eligible will be provided with;
1. An invite link – one use only.
2. A unique verification code.
You then have to follow the Guides on Installing the Discord App and joining The Boards. There are different apps for Windows, maxOS, Android and iOS. Refer to Discord Install & Register page for the Guides relating to your device.

NOTE: There are different instructions for Desktop Computers and Mobile Users – depending on your Operating System.
THIS IS A TWO STEP PROCESS
Full PDF instructions, for both Desktop and Mobile Users are available. Refer to the Install & Register Guides on the following page.
1. JOIN DISCORD
This involves downloading and installing the Discord App on your Device. Discord Apps are available for Windows – MacOS – Android – iOS.
You then Register with Discord by creating an Account with a: Username – Display Name – Email Address – Date of Birth. The Boards Admin does not have access to your email or Date of Birth. Please Read the following; Username and Display Name tabs on this page, before starting the joining process.
NOTE: Your Username must be your Current Profile Name. Having a different username will result in your being rejected from joining The Boards until you change it to your Current Profile Name. NOTE: You can change your Username, after membership is granted. Refer to the Username Summary tab.
2. JOIN THE BOARDS
Once you have completed the registration process, you can then proceed to joining The Boards. This is were you enter your Invite Link. Full details, along with screenshots are in the Guide.
During the The Boards joining process – WICK will validate you. On completion, WICK will allow entry to The Boards – and place you in the hidden ‘Waiting Room’ – until the next stage – Manual Verification. See the next page tab for details.
MANUAL VALIDATION IS A SHORT PROCESS
After you have been validated by Wick, you are placed in the hidden ‘Waiting Room’ board.
While you arrive in the Waiting Room, send a DM to Admin – including your unique verification code – previously provided.
Once the verification code is received, you will then have full access to The Boards.
For future identification, your initial profile name and unique code will be added by Admin to your initial profile name to the membership profile. These are not viewable by anyone else.
If you only wish to join Then Boards in case the NZD Message Boards go down, notify the Admin via DM. Your profile is moved to the hidden ‘Hibernate’ board. In the future, you can send another DM to ‘reactivate’ your membership. This can be done at any time.
CHANGING YOUR USER NAME or PROFILE NAME
After Manual Verification, you can change your Discord Profile name (just for the Boards) if you wish.
You can change your Username for The Boards whenever you feel like it. You are limited to one change per hour.
USERNAMES
Usernames are unique to each user on Discord, making it easier to identify and connect with your friends. You can have different usernames for each Server (message board).
Usernames must be at least 2 characters and at most 32 characters long
Usernames are limited to; lowercase, alphanumeric, certain special characters – Underscore ( _ ) and Period ( . ). You cannot use 2 consecutive period characters.
If your required username is taken, you can add numbers, underscores, and periods to embellish your username.
If your new account is not verified within 7 days rom account creation, your username will be given a random 5 digits to the end of your username
You can change your username twice per week.
Usernames (and Display Names) must adhere to Discord Community Guidelines.
You are not permitted to have Usernames to impersonate Discord, Discord staff, or Discord system messages or an individual, group, or organization.
Usernames that attack other people or promote hate, or contain sexually explicit language are also disallowed.
You can also have Server and Friend Nicknames. More about that after joining.
DISPLAY NAMES
Your display name is how you will primarily appear across Discord. It is how other users will see you in;
DMs where a friend nickname is not set.
On servers where a server nickname is not set.
In other places like friend requests.
You can change your Display Name whenever you want – even from one minute to the next.
Display names must be at least 1 character and at most 32 characters long.
Your display name can be almost anything (within Discord’s Community Guidelines), including special characters, spaces, and emojis! It allows for uppercase, lowercase, and non-Latin characters.
When you pick your new username, your display name is pre-populated with your old username so your friends recognize you, but you can always change the display name in your profile settings by navigating to User Settings > My Account > Profiles.
Display names must adhere to Discord Community Guidelines (as above for Usernames).
