The Boards is an Invite only, Private Message Board, hostedon DISCORD.
Why The Boards ?
WHY HAS THE BOARDS BEEN CREATED ?
On the NZD Message Boards;
– The toxic vile abuse and outright lies over the last 2+ years aimed at a select few, by certain members and second profiles.
– As a result, the NZD Message Boards have become less enjoyable for those targeted, their friends and even those not involved who have to watch/read.
– Due to the continued toxic behaviour many boarders were either leaving, or reducing their time on the NZD Message Boards.
– The toxic behaviour has resulted in a drastic reduction of Open Board Threads and participation, which has now reaching ‘resuscitation required‘ levels.
– Sadly, even when members of the target group ignore the abusers, this also failed to reduce the toxic behaviour/accusations.
– The NZD TOU of “Excessive or extended periods of abuse will not be tolerated” has well and truly been ignored by NZD Admin.
– The NZD Admin has not bothered to take any meaningful action to stop the excessive & extended toxic abuse.
– In the unlikely event that The Boards becomes successful, it may encourage NZD Admin to make changes, also unlikely.
– In all fairness to NZD – they do not have the resources or features to moderate the extreme behaviour on the message boards.
My thoughts are that The Boards will become a relatively friendly environment, while the abusive group continues their abusive and derogatory narrative.
In the event that the NZD Message Boards are removed – The Boards will become a safe haven for like minded individuals.
Anyway, that’s enough of the negative – read on on for more positive information.
THE BOARDS
– Has an Auto Moderation feature installed – to reduce the bulk of inappropriate posts / content – courtesy of the WICK BOT as in John.
– Manual moderation will still be required in some cases. Refer to the Moderation Features page for details on Auto and Manual moderation.
– Members not involved in any heated vile abusive posts – who politely suggest those involved to take a step backwards – will be encouraged.
– A future consideration is having some neutral members as moderators. Refer to the Moderation Features page for details.
– Being an Invite Only Server, will prevent 99% of abusive profiles from joining, plus prevent the majority of second profiles from gaining access.
– Members can request (within reason) enhancements and suggest new boards. NOTE: There is already a Politics Board.
– The Boards will be community driven – within reason.
There is no expectation for members to stop using the NZD Message Boards.
NZD is primarily a Dating Site – The boards is only a Message Board Site.
Discord releases updates (to the Server) on a regular basis. Sometimes weekly. Most updates are aimed at the backend of the server but there are also new, or enhanced user features to make using Discord an even greater experience.
Undoubtedly there will be some attempts to circumvent the invite process. But the Invite process and Moderation features will minimise these attempts.

REASONS NOT TO JOIN THE BOARDS
– You encourage the few NZD Message Board members who continually post toxic abuse towards others.
– You are a Thread Author and do not moderate members posting toxic abuse towards others.
– You ignore the abuse and do your own thing and prefer to stay on the NZD Message Boards.
– You are content with the with the current toxic abuse on the NZD Message Boards.
– You prefer the current toxic environment on the NZD Message Boards, rather than a site which moderates such toxic behaviour.
If you decide not to join The Boards – all the best.
Obviously, those who have posted continuous and excessive toxic abuse towards others, or have enabled such abuse – will never be allowed to join The Boards.
